Below is a selected curation of custom, handmade rolltop backpacks designed to be both stylish and functional, intended to be used for daily commutes and travel. The projects below were explorations into softgoods design, leather-working, material design, and hand-stitching techniques.

Bag No. 1: "NYFD Rolltop" Backpack

Inspired by New York Fire Department uniforms.

Bag No. 2: "SAWAGUCHI" Backpack

"What I want, is a black with feeling." — Charles Eames, gesturing with cupped hands.
Custom high top sneakers I designed and hand-lasted to match and pair with the Sawaguchi Backpack.

Backpack No. 3: "YUCCA" Rolltop Backpack

Color and material palette inspired by the desert vegetation in Yucca Valley.

Bag No. 4: "TARO" Backpack

This backpack was intended for spacious storage and high-visibility during nighttime commutes. This was my very first backpack I designed and sewed :)
